I will make this short and sweet.
I purchased a new set of lenses to be installed in my frames. The technician sold me on the lenses using the attractive warranty they offered, which covered the lenses for 2 years (which would also cover a prescription change in that time period). That sounded like a good deal, so I went ahead with the purchase.
I stopped in today to get the lenses changed due to my prescription changing. When I mentioned the warranty, I was told that the technician that sold me the lenses was no longer employed by Baldwin, as he had a habit of "telling white lies", and a prescription change is not covered by policy. Of course, this is not what I was told when they were taking my money.
The technician informed me that "this has affected a lot of customers". First, this is NOT a white lie. This is a bait and switch to sell glasses, and it is also Baldwin leaving the customer holding the bag for their employee's deceit.
Honor the deal I was sold when you accepted payment. Guess that means you make a little less this year....but that isn't my fault, now is it? We can go under your "correct policy" when my 2 years expire. That is how an honest business would handle this.
Also -- do you realize it is almost impossible to do business with you? Your hours are so restrictive, I literally have to take off of work to pick up glasses. Super inconvenient.
Stay away and find another optometrist.
