This is the first foot massage place I've been to! I'd been curious about Chinese foot massages for a long time because I heard good things from a few friends and these places are everywhere so I decided to bite the bullet one day.
I was greeted by a young lady who spoke fluent English. They were able to accommodate me right away. A Chinese auntie brought in a bucket of what looked like tea and she ended up doing my massage.
I probably shouldn't have asked repeatedly if it would hurt because I must've looked like a wimp and she used a light hand on me. It still felt very relaxing though. She was chatty and maternal with me. I appreciated the pot of tea and the dimming of the lights - the better to hide my ungroomed legs!
My main complaint is that the environment really could be nicer. It was pretty rundown. I get that it's an inexpensive massage place, but when there are a bunch of nearby competition that's equally rundown, a nice interior would have me coming back!
All in all, good value and very relaxing. $30 for 60mins (15min foot soak + 45min massage)
