I love writing a review on seafood-specialty restaurants. I am deathly allergic to shellfish, so I'm impressed when the staff takes note and ensures that my meal will not result in a call for paramedics. (Please note - I take the risk because I can eat fish - just not shellfish.)
Our department held their holiday lunch here - great day for patio seating (heaters and wind shields in place made it bright, cheery and comfortable). GREAT place for a group of 40.
They had set up a special menu for us with 4 soup/salads, 4 entrees and 2 dessert options. I ordered the Caesar salad, blackened tilapia, and apple cobbler. I loved that our server checked to make sure that I was good with anchovies in the salad dressing, and ensured me that my food would be prepared in a way not to cross-contaminate with the shrimp orders.
The warm loaves of bread were a big hit with the group. Those who opted for the seafood chowder and clam chowder really seemed to enjoy them. My meal was perfect - a generous order of fish, seasoned perfectly; grilled zucchini slices and creamy potatoes. I ate every bite. My cobbler had the right amount of ice cream.
Great service, good food, and great location.
