Don't be fooled by Bistro La Bon's name. I thought it was a French restaurant, but it is much more than that. It has the classic techniques of French food with a wider range of European flavors.
My first time here I had the gnocchi with mushrooms. I make gnocchi so I am very familiar with good gnocchi, not heavy in your stomach gnocchi, that you sometimes find in restaurants. These were so tender and the flavors were unbelievable! I used the bread to sop up all that great sauce!!
My second time here, my waiter Julian, gave me an excellent recommendation, Lavender Chicken.
I never order chicken out. Then he went on to describe it. He made my mouth water. So, even though I was shaking my head on the lavender, I ordered it. The flavors again were over the top. The chef really has it together. I can't wait for my next meal here!!
