  • Don't ever give them anything! Car keys, ID, wallet, etc. They try to hold you hostage unless you agree to their overpriced offers where they're clearly ripping you off. So I go on Saturday just to check the cars out real quick, my girlfriend and I wanted to trade in my car in for something more affordable. At first the guy is nice and telling us a few things and asking us what we like. That's where they try to get you to like them and know what to sell you. We really just wanted to look real quick and get some info on trading in my car because I had to pick up a friend from work. The guy however, was trying to make a sell on the spot. First he got us to taking one of the nice looking cars for a test drive. There he tells us stories that don't seem a bit off. Next thing you know it starts getting a bit late and we need to go but the guy insist to go to inside real quick and show me the numbers on what a good deal I could get. Keep in mind the car is under my dad's name so I wouldn't be able to trade it in without him. So he takes my info and then my car keys for some reason, which was a bad mistake. He leaves to check with his superior and takes a long time. I texted my friend before hand we were going to be a bit late but now we were passed that. Finally, the salesman comes back like he has the best offer of a lifetime. He said putting $2000 down your monthly payments would be $389. Which wasn't what I wanted and we just wanted to leave but he had my keys! We kindly put decline his offer because we wanted to think about it more carefully and talk it through with my dad. Unfortunately the guy wasn't taking no for an answer. He accused us of lying, saying that we were just making excuses to leave. He then says "OK if I dropped it to $350 a month with no down payment would that sound better?" Those weren't his exact words but it was around there. Still, we declined. Then his coworker came by and wanted to know what was all the commotion. The salesman, which I regret not remembering his pathetic name, explained the offer he was giving us. His coworker looked shocked as if I had just insulted him. Now both were trying to get me to sign by making me look stupid if I didn't. The thing was the car wasn't under my name at all but the salesman said it didn't matter. At this point my girlfriend was frustrated because we had our baby crying because she was hungry and her formula was in the car which we could not get to because the pathetic salesman was holding our keys hostage. Can you believe that? We asked for the keys, this time we weren't asking nicely. The salesman were still pressuring us to trade my 2014 rav4 for a 2017 corolla. His final offer was $300 a month with no down payment. Was that a good offer? Maybe but it wasn't worth the bullying and hostage tactics they use. The thing is that they try to get a seemingly low offer to you and see if you will bite, except that offer is more than the msrp price and that extra money is just going to their pockets on top of the commisoned sale they made. No wonder these scumbag salesman dress like they're making bank cuz they're ripping people off. And when the salesman finally gave up, I could hear one of them mumbling something about being dumb for not taking the offer. There are many reasons why this was shady. For one I know I couldn't have traded my dad's car in without him being present. Another reason was because he was going low with the payments real quick so he was trying hustle me. This place is terrible. The staff is horrible. The service is laughable. Cars are good. How do you come home to your family knowing you screwed other people over?
