  • I researched around Yelp and Facebook for a good place to get my lashes done for the first time in 2 years. I initially wanted to book with another lash lounge in the west, but because I wanted one done asap, I took the next appointment available at my top 3 choices - with MYNC on Queen being one of the top 3. They put me in for 5:30pm, which was perfect because I could stroll in right after work. I got to the lash lounge at 5:25pm. They offered me some tea - which was yummy but a bit too sweet for my liking - as I waited 15 minutes for my appointment. I got invited to sit in the lash chair around 5:45pm, and the girl was very informative. She asked me about my previous experience, what I would like, and what she would suggest. I asked for something to accentuate my natural lashes (my own lashes are quite thin and short, around 7mm), so she suggested 8mm and 10mm combination. I still wasn't too sure what to request, so I asked her to work her magic and do whatever she thinks would fit me best. After about 2 hours (I fell asleep for a while, but woke myself up through my own snore), I saw my results. I don't think the girl was as satisfied with the results either because she tried to justify why they don't look like they've changed much. To be honest, they did look natural, but still sparse. I was in a bit of a haze from my nap so I smiled, thanked them, paid, and went home. My friends couldn't even tell I got my lashes done, and when I did tell them, they had to really examine my eyes to see. Maybe I should've asked for the fuller lash set, but I've never had to pay more than $90 for my extensions. I'm from Vancouver, and lash extensions there are at most $80 plus or minus a few bucks, and then tip. I also realized some of the lashes were merely dangling off the tips of my own, making them look floppy, and poorly done + making my eyes look a little droopy. Overall, the service was great, interior is cute, and location is prime, but the results weren't what I was expecting. Probably half my fault for cheaping out and not paying for the fuller extensions, but definitely not happy about the dangling lashes. I won't be going back :(
