  • About a year ago, I went to SurgiSpa to get laser hair removal on my entire body. I was hesitant, as the price was more expensive than other laser hair removal places ($2,500 for 6 full body treatments), but the place seemed a lot nicer and cleaner. Unfortunately, despite the welcoming atmosphere, I deeply regret giving my money to SurgiSpa. The woman who did my 6 treatments was incredibly unprofessional and at times rude. A few examples of what she did: - She seemed really annoyed when I would remind her to do certain parts of my body. I paid for FULL body treatments but would have to tell her to get my lower pubic area and my feet every session. - During one of my appointments, about 10 minutes in, she said she didn't feel good all day and asked to reschedule. I can understand not feeling good, but why reschedule after I'm already there, naked, getting treated? As far as my treatment goes, I also had issues with that, including: - She missed a LOT of spots. I understand patchy hair growth is common in the middle of the process, but she missed entire lines on my pubic area. She would treat it running the laser across horizontally, and it was obvious she missed an entire horizontal line, as it was patchy above and below, but just a full line of hair where she missed. When I brought this up to her, she denied it as patchy hair growth. - She told me that 99% of my hair would be removed with the 6 sessions. I did sign a waiver that said no removal is guaranteed, but she reassured me that because I have fair skin and dark hair, that I have nothing to worry about. This was not the case. When I addressed it in our last session, she said most people need 12 sessions.... Completely contradictory to what she originally told me. I felt this was just a ploy to get more money out of me. There was no point in the process where I had any level of significant hair loss. I have maybe lost 20% of my hair on my upper lip and my legs, but my real "problem" areas, such as my armpits, pubic area, and my chest have had no lasting hair loss. They were "patchy" during treatment, but under a year later, and I have full growth in all of these areas. $2500 to have patchy hair for 3 months and then going back to looking like I had never gotten laser at all. I have had better results with a $100 laser I ordered on Amazon. I would absolutely not recommend SurgiSpa for anyone looking to get laser hair removal. I feel cheated by this company.
