I was walking along Bloor Street West heading to another store recently, when I passed Kops Records with their few bins of used records out front. On my way back to the subway, I stopped to do a little browsing, and did buy a few older items from the cheap bins. While I already own a lot of records, I am not currently looking for much, and certainly not looking to pay $20+ for new releases or sealed/rare pressings of older items. While this pretty much leaves me out of most of the local record stores, I will say that Kops seems to be pretty comparable to other places, with a good sized stock that is fairly well organized. For myself, I picked up a few older pieces in good shape for $10 that were well worth it. If there is something particular that I need in the future, this is one of the places that I would probably visit.
