  • Its been 10 hours since I left and I am still pissed & regret spending my money here. I tried them before and swore that I wouldn't go back but figured I'd try again since they changed the name. Nope. I went in today with my daughters 9 & 11 to get Mani pedis. It was my youngest daughters first time getting an actual pedicure instead of just a polish. She was super excited. I hadn't been able to get in for a pedicure in over 6 months (and you could tell!) so I knew I'd need the deluxe pedicure to get the calluses off but I was excited for my feet to look & feel feminine again. When we walked in the staff glanced over but nobody said a word to us. Each staff person was with a customer so I assumed it was because they were busy. My girls and I proceeded to lick out or colors and sit down. After about 20 minutes my daughter asked, "Mom, do you think they are ignoring is because we are black?" I said, "No, baby. They are just busy. They will come check in with us as soon as they have a free moment." Not 30 seconds later another customer walked in & was immediately greeted, asked what service she wanted and was directed to a chair to have her pedicure started. I was floored. Disgusted, I silently put down the polish I'd picked out, instructed my daughters to do the same & walked out. One of the technicians came running after me apologizing and urging me to come back in. When I declined, she continued to follow me & offered half off of my services if I'd stay. Reluctantly I agreed. I felt that if she was willing to give that much of a discount, perhaps her oversight was truly an honest mistake. I was dead wrong. She rushed through my Mani - I don't think it took her a full 10 minutes - and it hurt because she was yanking my cuticles & clipping wildly. She then proceeded to do the same to my daughters. My youngest daughter's nails are sloppy and barely have any polish. My oldest daughters nails are thick & caked with polish. Mine are uneven. Light in some places & dark in others. While she worked on my daughters a different woman started my pedicure. I told the tech that my feet were bad so I wanted the deluxe pedicure so I could have all the calluses removed. The first woman heard me say it then rolled here eyes and started talking in their language to the one doing my pedi who then got angry herself & started rushing. She got clay mask all over my pants & literally only did the bottom of my feet. When I asked her if she could please do my sides and my heel she retorted, "we don't go that far up" shoved my foot back into the water & moved on to the next foot doing the same poor job. I felt so humiliated, angry & helpless. I didn't want to make a scene and I knew that if I'd just grabbed my kids and walked out they would have called the police and demanded payment. So we just sat there. All the other customers were being treated kindly. Their techs smiling, taking their time and having conversations. Yet the ladies working with me and my daughters were scowling, not making eye contact at all and furiously talking back and forth to each other, rolling their eyes & shaking their heads. The tech who chased after us did my daughters pedicures & she yanked their feet around, clipped their cuticles wildly and rushed them to sit under the lamps. It only took her 15 minutes to do both of my daughters feet. She didn't give them toe separators so their polish got ruined before my pedicure was even finished & they were soo disappointed that it hurt & wasn't relaxing. All three of us still look like we haven't had a pedicure in months. My daughters feet are actually more dry than when we went in because they sprayed our feet with rubbing alcohol & then used just a couple drops of lotion as if they were running out. Another black woman came in with her daughter. Like us, they were not greeted like any of the other customers. No "Hello, what would you like today?" Just a glance. Then after about 10 minutes one of the techs said, "What do you want?" The woman said Mani-pedis for both if us." And the tech said sternly, "Go sit there." Pointing to the foot baths & then walked away from them. The tech who chased us did discount my services as she promised and because I felt obligated, I tipped 20 bucks. So basically I paid 93.00 for us to.be treated like shit and come out looking just as bad, if not worse, then when we went in. Never again.
