Let me start off by saying I have been going here with my dog for twelve years. I used to love this place, and recommended it frequently. My dog needed an x-ray on his leg, and I was encouraged to have my dog receive his upcoming Lepto and Rabies vaccines to avoid another office call-I agreed. After my dog was brought back to me from his x-ray, I was told he had his vaccines while he was in the back and that he may be tired for the rest of the day. My vet invoice has no record of him receiving vaccines at his visit and I received no rabies tag/certificate. I called to check into this, and the person I spoke to looked through the veterinarian's notes, and said there was no note of him receiving the vaccines. She stated she would speak to the vet to see "if she remembers giving it." This is unacceptable. I was promised a call back the same day, and I am writing this at 11:45 at night--no call back. I am a nurse, and I would be fired if I "didn't remember giving a vaccine or not". My dog is twelve years old and nine pounds, so I don't want to over vaccinate him if he did indeed receive his vaccines. I am terrified to go back to this vet now. Not to mention, the once friendly office staff is now employees gossiping and playing on their phones. It's such a shame. Getting my dog's medication refilled has also been quite a hassle, no return calls as promised--you have to frequently call and hope you get someone different that may actually listen to your request. I will try calling again tomorrow to check into my dog's vaccines--it's disheartening that I even have to worry about this. Over-vaccinating versus no vaccines and being exposed to disease: what choice would you make?
