rev:text	I'm 90 years old, female, and went to the ER last Thursday. I was short of breath, constantly coughing, and weak. Within 10 minutes of my arrival the staff was giving me a chest X-ray, EKG, blood and urine tests. All staff, including the nice lady doctor, were kind and considerate. Turns out I had pneumonia. I was admitted, stayed 2 nights and was released yesterday, feeling much better. While there, I was treated with IV infusions of antibiotics. Every nurse I had was friendly and helpful. When I pushed the help button, they showed up in seconds. Dr. Jennifer Raroque gave me all the time I needed to explain what was happening and answer questions. Only one thing prevents me from giving this hospital 5 stars: the food. In my long lifetime, I've experienced bad hospital food but nothing like this. It was BEYOND HORRIBLE. As I understand, the meals are supplied by two different restaurants (One vegetarian), microwaved in the hospital's kitchen and served. The menu is the same every day. My first meal consisted of spaghetti and some kind of meat sauce, one piece of toast, and a cupful of raw vegetables, mostly broccoli and cauliflower. It went downhill from there. Never a roll or desert but if you love broccoli and cauliflower, raw or cooked, then this is the place for you because they are served with every meal except breakfast and there are no alternatives. I have seen other reviews complaining about rudeness and racism at this hospital, but I'm happy to say I never saw anything like that. As far as I'm concerned, competent, friendly people work there, and I'll go back if the occasion arises.
