| - As good as it gets!
...but for many of us this service will feel relatively expensive. Compared to a couple of hacks driving a broken down van using hard water and dirty abrasive rags, Famous is expensive. Professionals in any industry are expensive, but honestly, in this case, I'd argue that the cost is relatively inexpensive. The service that I asked Famous to perform (the silver package plus paint sealant) cost $154.00 and took about an hour and a half for 2 people to complete. Simple math reveals that I paid $51.33 per hour per person. Still sound expensive? Consider these factors: Travel time, Supplies, Equipment, Insurance, Business Licensing, etc...
YES!!! He is licensed and Insured! Ok, onto the service...
Booking online through the website was effortless. The are many options which are clearly explained so that you can pick and choose which will work for you. Setting the appointment was equally easy as availability on a given day was displayed for you to select whichever works best for you. The software texted me to remind me of the appointment and the day came. Keith and his wife Allison arrived promptly at 11:00 as scheduled. His auto and equipment are not brand new, but they LOOK BRAND NEW which is awesome because they're using it everyday just like you and I!! I was very encouraged when they arrived in good clean well maintained equipment. Keith introduced himself and his wife Allison. He confirmed the services that I had selected then we went over to my car, a ford explorer. Keith explained how the silver package would apply to my auto. He looked the car over from stem to stern to determine whether other services would be appropriate. He recommended none, so we stayed with the silver package. He and Allison went to work and I went inside. According to weatherbug it is 103 degrees outside. Still think $53.00 is too much?
An hour and a half later, actually a little longer, Keith, Allison and I looked over my car. Honest to God, it looked better than new. The paint sealant/polish made the paint look deep, almost three dimensional. The interior was showroom clean and, well inviting. Corny as it sounds, I wanted to get into this beautiful new car! ...obviously it's not new, but it looks and feels new. I happily paid my $154.00 bill and added a 17% tip. It was that good.
Finally, I asked Keith to recommend a dent guy and a window film guy. He would recommend neither stating that he had not found a service provider that would operate at his level. That says it all.
