  • Recently moving to Las Vegas from Honolulu, I was leery of where to go to pick up some new bowling equipment, especially since I'd heard so many horror stories about bad experiences from my buddies in Hawaii. I finally decided to check out Haynes Bowling Supply on the advise of my wife's friend and doing some research on Yelp, and I'm glad I did! The shop was easy to find, and there was lots of parking in front. Upon entering, it was obvious they were a well-stocked pro shop with all the latest and greatest brands of bowling balls on display, in addition to a variety of bags and other bowling necessities. Matt helped me pick out a new ball, then introduced me to owner David Haynes, who was busy with several other customers in front of me but said he'd be right with me. After a few minutes wait, he came over and asked me a bunch of questions to get an idea of what I needed and quickly measured an older ball I brought in. He said it would take about 45 minutes to drill my new ball, so my wife and I grabbed some lunch at a nearby Mexican restaurant a few shops down that they recommended (yes, the food was good!). When we got back from lunch, the ball was almost ready, then a few minutes later David came over with the ball and asked me to put my fingers and thumb in to size the inserts--great fit! He then glued in the inserts and voila! New ball ready to hit the lanes! David also said if anything felt wrong with the ball or inserts, just bring it back and we could work on making it right for me, which made me feel good about going with them. I also needed a new 3-ball bag and some 3/4 inch black thumb tapes which were readily available, and the total price I was charged for everything including the full service drilling with inserts for the new ball was most reasonable, and I also got to pick out a free bowling towel (there is a yelp offer for this, too)! I also had another ball I own plugged and redrilled by David and his staff, and when I picked it up a few days later, it was another perfect fit! David and his staff were most welcoming, courteous and provided excellent customer services, and now I know where to go to get all my future bowling equipment needs fulfilled at a fair price--mahalo, Haynes Bowling Supply!
