  • If I could give less I would. In Aug 2016 I had all four tires replaced and aligned, with a warranty and road hazard coverage. In Aug 2017 I had a tire light on, and had my oil changed at the dealer. They told me my front L tire had a belt broken and wanted to charge my an exorbitant amount of money, so I said no I'll take it to TQ where I have a warranty. The dealership is very pushy that it needs to be fixed ASAP. I walked in and explained the situation, asked the guy to take a look at TQ. He comes ack and says nothing is wrong with the tires. Reset the tire light. I ask multiple times to ensure that it is safe to drive. He says I'm good to go. I get home, but it doesn't feel right. I can't figure out where there would be SUCH a discrepancy between what the 2 places tell me. So I search how to indicate a blown belt in a tire. It's supposed to look like a bulge on the tire. I glance at my tire and without even trying I see a HUGE bulge on the outside of the tire. WHAT?! TQ decides that they would rather save on not honoring a warranty than replace my tire and keep me and my loved ones safe? I'm going in today to raise hell, but I will be following up on this. Regardless of if they do replace the tire as they should I'm still pissed because if I hadn't thought to look further into this I could have had a blown tire and be in hurt or dead. Disgusting. Follow up: The manager (who I have learned was who "looked" at my tire yesterday) had the audacity to not apologize, and then to charge me $120 to replace a tire (this is after my $55 'warranty savings') that only costs $120 at most. When questioned about why they did not tell me this yesterday, I was repeatedly told "I didn't see it" by the manager (he didn't see it). I have included a photo of the tire - it's a herniation. It's beyond obvious. And on top of that, I have written documentation from the other auto shop of the broken belt from just an hour before I took it into TQ that afternoon. I have calls into TQ customer service but have not heard back. Save yourself the trouble (and danger) and take your car somewhere locally owned where they really care about something other than the bottom line. Update (Final) Through a lot of phone calls, I was reimbursed for the tire by TQ and was assured this would be investigated. I am fine with the follow up customer service, and appreciate them trying to correct the wrong doing.
