  • Im kind of indifferent about how i feel about Ballys just because of our room situation. My husband planned a trip last minute since we werent sure if we could go since I had Jury Duty the week before. Since I was able to be excused and my husbands birthday is on st. Pattys day with my mother in law in town to watch the girls.. we decided to drive out to vegas for two nights and booked our rooms two days before our stay. We booked for two nights and a king sized bed for our stay. Cost came out to about 125 a night + the site we used gave us a 25 dollar voucher for food or drinks. Arrived at around midnight but the guy at check in told us all the king sized bedrooms were taken. I asked if theres anything special they do for birthdays because my husbands birthday was that day since its midnight. The guy said since he can only get us a queen sized bed for the night, he told us we will be doing a room change in the afternoon to get our king sized bed the next night. Because of the inconvience he upgraded us to the jacuzzi suite. So that night we had a jr suite and the night after we got a jacuzzi suite. We were a bit excited for the room upgrade but in the end it didnt really make a big difference. The first night in our jr. Suite.. i loved how spacious the room was.. but that bed was not a queen sized bed. Let a lone a standard queen sized bed. Our bed was more like a FULL sized bed if anything... Room change was between 12-1pm. So after having brunch we headed back to the hotel to do the change. Super inconvienent since it takes up our day to come back and move rooms before heading out again. The jacuzzi suite on the 14th floor looked very nice. Sweet upgrade for the moment of walking in. No view btw but a jacuzzi is sweet enough. Very spacious and luxurious but probably would have been unsafe for my kids to run around since the jacuzzi had some sharp corners on that thing. After our long venture out.. i had went to Lush and bought some bath bombs for the jacuzzi. After turning on the water.. there was a ton of bubbles coming up in the water. Im guessing its bubbles are from the previous use and it wasnt cleaned by the house keeper. So obviously a bit disgusted.. i filled it with water and rinsed it out before using it. After that... i couldnt find the button to turn on the jacuzzi so i called house keeping for help. They werent any help at all. Sounded like they didnt give a crap about it and told me to just press the black button and that was that.... Well.. first off.. house keeping stated its a button with a P on it. Its not btw... thats just the logo of the brand of the tub. I eventually figured out where this black button was... its on the side. But its jammed in and doesnt work. So i pretty much just had a big tub to lay in after throwing in my bath bomb. I have one of these at home so im not missing out just i expected better from a hotel in vegas u know. Overall i wasnt happy about the inconvience and the broken jacuzzi... but i liked the location. It made it very easy to walk around on either ends of the strip since we were right in the middle. Also they are opening a nice looking cvs soon which would have been more convienent if it was opened sooner.
