In Charlotte we have an assortment of different interior decor and design stores. I really like most of them. West+Elm, Crate and Barrel, IKEA (for the more budget conscious of us). But Williams-Sonoma seemed a bit far-fetched. I'd say it's comparable to Crate and Barrel in terms of price and types of items. Lots of kitchen wares, cookware and decor. And they do seem to change it up some with the seasons.
For starters, the layout of this store doesn't flow well so I didn't feel drawn about like I could in other similar stores. It's really easy to miss something in here and hard to tell where one theme ends and the next begins. Prices were of course quite steep so that puts this well out of my price range in my current place in the world. And of course some things in here can be a bit over the top, as is the case with these kinds of places. Like, do you really need a kitchen tool whose niche purpose is just to pull the leaves out of a strawberry? I mean I could understand the need in a restaurant or catering kitchen but things like this may be the epitome of unnecessary extravagance these days.
