  • I called Nevada Heart & Vascular on Tues May 29th and they gave me an appointment for Friday June 1st. I was so grateful after my disappointing experience at Advanced Heart & Vascular. I expected to possibly have to have a bit of a wait on my first appointment at NEVADA HEART & VASCULAR but I didn't mind AT ALL! Although, the waiting room was packed when I showed up it was just fine with me. I signed in and was greeted with a smile. As I was waiting I watched this office run efficiently, swiftly and cohesively. It was like watching a symphony. As busy as they were the staff was ABSOLUTELY incredible. When I was called back the Medical Assistant they triaged me acted like I was her first patient of the morning and had just finished her second cup of coffee. She was AWESOME! Dr. Sanjay Malhotra came in as soon as my EKG was completed and the very first thing he did was apologize for my wait. I honestly had no problem with the wait because they squeezed me in. The fact that he was considerate enough to acknowledge he was running behind and considered how long I had been there (2hrs) reminded me of the days doctors cared about the patient and NOT just the money. His apology was appreciated more than he could ever know. I understood how busy they were today especially since it was a short week due to the holiday. Dr. Malhotra was thorough and told me he did not want to repeat any tests I already had in order to clear me for surgery. This is going to save me time and money and it was truly appreciated. He wanted me to give him a week or so to review my hospital records and I was to return for cardiac clearance. I have been in healthcare for 32 years and this visit with him reminded me of the good ole days of healthcare. ALL doctors should be so efficient instead of ordering unnecessary tests which causes financial hardship for patients. I highly recommend this doctor and praise the staff for their friendliness and great attitudes. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK NEVADA HEART & VASCULAR CENTER!!!!!! Now I understand why your waiting room was so full when I arrived. Advanced Heart & Vascular_Dr. Ram Singh and Dr. Kathleen Benson along with Colleen, Chelsea and Kim could definitely take some pointers from NEVADA HEART & VASCULAR on professionalism and better patient care.
