  • This was my first apartment. I lived here about 8 or so months before moving in my house and the experience, was an experience. I'll start off with the pros because the cons weren't necessarily the managements fault. First off, LOVE that they have vending machines. Perfect for snacking and sodas. The pool during the summer was never crowded and it was beautiful. They also have a giant fire pit. I loved that the mail room had a camera so when I checked it late at night, I felt safe. The management team was very efficient and Brett and Emily are such nice people. The apartments are spacious and beautiful with giant walk in closets!!! St Clair's also offers free bug spraying (I had my own guy) but it seems like a really nice perk. This place is super convenient with Walmart next door, a cvs, and target down the road and a plethora of food choices around the corner. The place had washer/dryer and all the appliances worked properly. The issues I had weren't really the managements fault because you can't stop bugs and you can't monitor people's every move in a big complex area. So, I lived above an elderly couple who had lived there for years and years. I worked between the hours of 8am to 6pm so I was out of the apartment between 7am and 7pm. I'm usually in bed by 10 so that doesn't leave a lot of time for me to "be loud" nor do I after 10 hour work shifts or before they start. They would bang on my door, ring the doorbell, bang on their roof, etc at all hours of the night because apparently during the day I was being loud and interrupted their naps/ TV watching. I finally confronted them after my car was the only one keyed in the lot and I told them how I'm only home and awake a few hours a day. They were shocked. Idk if it's because they were old and hearing things or what. I'm still pretty sure they keyed my car because of all the other antics they pulled but it's whatever at this point. It took SO long for them to be kicked out but I sort of understand with protocol for people who have lived their for a long time. The other issue I had was the spiders!!! Every night I'd come home and my car lights would shine on a giant black widow. So I moved from my nice covered parking spot to a different one because spiders suck. Pulled up to that spot one night, another black widow!!! One night I had enough and I'm sure I looked crazy cause I took bug killer and a shoe and got rid of both of those nasty guys. Also, I didn't like that dogs were allowed to do their business wherever and their owners not be held responsible. The apartment behind mine (near my parking spot) had a huge dog who would pee in the rocks in front of the parking spots so every time I got out of my car I smelled pee. When I changed spots (spiders) the apartment I parked near, they literally would just open their door and their 3/4 Pomeranians would run out and poop immediately outside on the walkway. So everyday I had to avoid that. If I ever needed to get an apartment again, I would come back here in a heartbeat.
