| - I'm giving this business ONE STAR for multiple reasons. Total cost of dress: $260.
Short story:
1. My $100 alterations were not only horrendous (see pictures attached) and extremely over priced, but (the seamstress) did not have my dress ready after the scheduled pickup date.
2. When getting sized for the $160 dress, they gave me a size larger than I needed, insisting that the dress we chose would fit smaller than expected. (Thus requiring alterations)
Long story:
1. (One of two seamstress' at this business) was a little hard to take at first, rude but laughed it off like she was joking. After pulling and pinning and nipping and tucking, she said my alterations were going to be $100. I swallowed my pride and said OK, paid her the money up front like she requested, scheduled my pickup date, and was on my way. Upon picking up my dress, she insisted I try it on, which I'm glad I did. The dress was not complete and told me she would drop it off at my house if I needed it. Since I was already irritated, I agreed. I arrived at my house later that night and my dress was hanging on the front door; glad no one stole it. I tried it on before the wedding and it looked great but when I put it on before the wedding, I started to notice all of the holes and pins and terrible seams. Two guests at the wedding and a couple of close friends pointed out the flaws and it only made me feel worse.
2. During our dress fittings, I expected be a difficult client. I have a large chest and small waist which makes finding a good size hard. I told the girl who helped us that I was losing weight and fast, but she insisted on getting me a larger size because the particular dress we picked out ran small. When I received my dress, it was absolutely huge on me. I understand you want to make sure that you're not going to go too small but at the same time I can't help but feel like this was a play so we all needed alterations (which every single girl did).
Terrible and very unprofessional customer service from (the seamstress) and over all bad business for over pricing and talking women into a larger size than they need so alterations are required.
