  • Enlighten Yoga, I really want to love you.. and it appears that people do (especially from attending classes, there are some substantial regulars), but I'm still on the fence. And here's why: -The studio is new and really well kept up. Great little boutique (with a yelp coupon to boot) that has a little bit of everything to browse before/after your class. -There isn't much space otherwise for us to put our things.. a few small cubbies inside the room.. but otherwise we are left to put our bags/wallets/keys under the clothing items for sale. Less than ideal. -Complimentary tea/coffee/filtered water -- fine. But definitely not necessary. But nice nonetheless -One bathroom (with maybe a shower?), which doesn't seem to be an issue.. except when it is. But meh. I've been to places where it's around the corner and no one cared. No bigs. -Ample space, new equipment, knowledgeable teachers (the most important I feel out of everything) -Cold towels at the end of the hot yoga session -- YES! This is absolutely amazing.. and some of the spots I've been to that don't have this, I miss it. -The new member process is lacking.. it's kind of chaotic, and there's really no direction or even verbal guidance (of maybe where to put things, where things are.. or welcome..) But the thing that I guess keeps me on the fence essentially, and keeps it from a 4-5 star is even though the teachers are obviously well qualified.. I felt as if they were only focused on those regulars or the star yogis in the class. I'm fairly new (about 2 years, but on and off mixed with running), and still getting "deeper into my practice".. and a lot of teachers are really hands on with ALL students and even reach out to those who need a little more help in their poses. I understand that every studio is different, and every teacher is different.. but when I don't even receive one assist (and I know I need one) in a class of 8 students, my eyebrows raise. Granted, I only went to a few classes during my visit to Charlotte, and I'll be back in a few weeks.. so I'll give them (and different teachers) another try.. but I'm just not sold. yet.
