This is going to be a highly unglamorous review with TMI.. You've been warned!
So this place is in my neighbourhood. It's been around for awhile but I've never gone in. And I wish I hadn't this time either.
First, I liked their speedy service. They weren't busy the moment I walked in but they were by the time I walked out. I was lucky enough to get tag teamed mani/pedi roughly at the same time by two different ladies). So that's all good. It's why they have 3 stars instead of 2.
Now all the things that aren't so good...
-They don't even ask if you want the razor or not (I didn't) they just use it to take off "calluses" aka harder skin that aren't calluses.
-They get distracted by each other quite easily and don't remove all your cuticles. Two the fingers on one hand weren't even touched. But the other three of that hand were looked at twice.
-They don't know how to file nails evenly.
- They don't clean under your nails. As in that dirt trapped under there, yea, none of that was removed. At all.
-They forget how many coats of polish they've given you, as my one baby toe only has one instead of two.
-They don't check on your nails before you leave. They say (from afar) that everything is dry. One nail was not dry. It got ruined before my event that evening.
-Their top coat is crap. It hasn't even been 24 hrs and the polish is already coming off.
**They do redo nails (no specification as to regular polish or other or everything) within three days of your treatment but they didn't give me a receipt sooooo how do they know when I came in??
-Oh and they charge tax even when you're paying cash.
All in all. Definitely not worth it. I've been to places that are cheaper and with much better products, and better attention to detail. You don't need to talk to me, you can talk to your friend about how gross my feet are for all I care. But if I'm paying you this much, and tipping you well, I expect some quality to your work.
