| - This, ladies and gentlemen, is how you do a brewpub. I love this place and wish there was somewhere like it near my home. It's amazing!
Visited on a Monday, Tuesday and a Wednesday night.
Service: Amazing, everyone who works here is very attentive. Willing to help you out with a choice. There are a lot of drinks to choose from so it helps to have a little guidance. Very friendly, and also, remember faces! We came in three nights in a row and it was nice to know that we were recognized rather than just another faceless customer which can definitely happen at any busy place.
Atmosphere: This place is slightly rustic, a lot of wood and copper! Different from many bars I have been to, the layout is nice with a lot of chairs and tables, as well as high tables with stools and stools at the bar. Every time I came here it was lively, never empty. On Wednesday night it was a little too busy, which made it hard to order drinks at the bar as everyone is trying to squeeze past the pillar right in the middle of the room in front of the register (I can let this go because it was a minor inconvenience, maybe just slightly uncomfortable, just like any other busy bar for me).
Food: they do have charcuterie plates and some type of personal pizzas which I did not have, but they looked amazing.
Drinks: Around 18 beers available when I went. All listed on the chalkboard on the left as you walk in as well as on the chalkboard which is on the far side of the room. All amazing beers, they have something for almost every beer-lover (maybe not if you like lagers). They also have liquor and a few wines available. I tried a few but I kept going back to Péché Mortel. They also had a special Scotch Ale called Equinoxe Di Printemps aged in Cognac barrels, by the bottle which I tried. Just another amazing beer!
Price: Amazingly great value.
Beers under 7% ABV are $6.75 (16oz)/$5 (12oz)/$4 (8oz)/$2.25 (4oz)
Beers 7% ABV and above are $5.75 (12oz)/$4 (8oz)/$2.25 (4oz)
(They list the updated prices on their website, so check that out to be sure.)
Restrooms / WC: They were nice, clean and pleasant as restrooms can be.
Overall: Let me just say, if I am ever in Montreal I will be sure not to skip this place. It might not be in the most lively of areas but it is worth the walk just slightly out of the way. I hope to be back soon!
