| - So the line for a Thursday was crazy, so they started offering (limited) spots in Bodega, downstairs, where they happened to be hosting a 4 course fixed menu. It was my husbands birthday, and we had heard so many great things about the food, we decided to give it a try. Bodega offers a slightly elevated atmosphere with the same flavors of Gaucho...it did not disappoint. The first course was a cross between chorizo and salami, Serrano ham, chèvre, manchego, kalamata and caselveltrano olives. It was served with grilled bread and chimmichurri. Then was an heirloom tomato salad with a delicious pork/beef meatball. Then the entree, grilled steak, corn on the cob, shrimp, more grilled bread and a variety of vegetables. The Rosemary onions with the steak was out of this world. They brought out our pineapple cobbler (so ridiculous!) with a candle for my husbands birthday...a very nice touch. We will definitely be making reservations for downstairs in the future!
