  • I saw that there were a few good compliments on this company and a few that weren't. I always try and give local businesses a chance to repair things and give them the time of day. But let me tell you, these guys just don't pay to much attention except if it's slow and judge Judy is on in the back. I brought a high end piece of audio equipment in because the SACD portion on the player wasn't working which I explained more than once to the guy working behind the counter. He just kept saying "uh huh uh huh" which indicated he understood what I was telling him. If he had no idea about what I was saying he should have said something. I continued to tell him that regular cds play just fine on the unit, that it will not read Super Audio CD and sometimes won't read burned CDs. Again he said "uh huh uh huh". I asked him how much to find out what the problem is he said $35 and quoted me a day that it should be tested and diagnosed by which was 2 days ago. I had to call them to find out that the technician hadn't been in on Monday. So I called again on Wednesday to see if the tech was going to be in. That's when I got the boss who said that he saw it go to the bench about an hour earlier. He said that they would call with an estimate of what it will cost to fix and see if I want to proceed. So I explained to him what was wrong and he said if he could get the parts it can be pretty pricey. I asked since he was on the phone if they could just use another lense. He said they're usually proprietary with lenses. I said I understood. He said they would thoroughly test it to make sure that SACD lense is the problem. I got a call today from Mr. Uh Huh and he said that they couldn't find anything wrong with it that it plays just fine. I asked specifically if the SACD portion was working again got a uh huh answer to my question. I asked if they could show me what I was doing wrong when I came to pick it up he said uh huh. Nothing was fixed and SACD was not playing. Just the single layer, which is regular cd. How upsetting. I told him it wasn't working on SACD like he said. He said oh I must have misunderstood you. My wife asked for our $35 back because clearly no research had been done for what it was brought in for. He said that's for bench time (which they really didn't do). She said bench time that didn't get allocated to the right part of the player. I will be calling the manager tomorrow. This was very unpleasant to watch $35 go down the toilet because he didn't do his job to make sure to write down what I brought it in for originally. It won't let me post without a star so I guess they got a star for $35.
