  • I have seen Joann Vitello for almost a year now. I am thankful that she was able to get me on the right track with some medical issues...however that's where it ends!!! For almost a year I have been taking hormonal meds, and almost every month there is some kind of an issue whether it's the wrong prescription called in, or there is one missing and recently it took a WEEK to even get a response!!! Thank god I wasn't a diabetic or had a more severe medical problem...none the less I still needed it. When I saw Joann in December I actually expressed to her my concerns in always having issues getting my meds refilled and also told her my insurance would be ending on Jan 30th and would need to be sure I had no problems. ..she responded by telling me to make sure my picture was taken and put on my chart so that she could just pass it thru....well let's just say that didn't work either!! I personally went into the office and spoke with Jasmine...who has absolutely NO personality!! All she had to say was that she would make it top priority but yet there was no guarantee...and she certainly didn't go the extra mile to make me feel at ease... Now mind you my pharmacy had faxed these scripts twice and left a voice mail as I also left messages for the medical assistants which NEVER seem to return calls even within 48 hours as stated on their machine. Last Friday when I called the pharmacy and they told me they still hadn't received the okay, you can imagine how frustrated I was being the last day for my insurance. I mentioned I would be looking for another doctor and they even said it was a good idea as this is not the first time they have heard of the same situation as I just went thru. By the way, I did call their central office and spoke with Tammy or Tracy in the referral department who told me the script had finally been approved by Joann last Thursday nite at 7:30 PM...which would have done me no good considering they are closed on Fridays and it was NEVER sent over to my pharmacy. She was kind enough to send it to my pharmacy which saved me about $700 dollars. As a result of this including the unprofessional staff, I will be finding another doctor...I need someone who truly cares about their patient's health and doesn't play Russian roulette. Since I don't feel any resolution will be made I will also be filing a complaint with the medical board as well. I know they will take me seriously!!
