| - I had an awesome 3-day stay here. Although we go to Vegas pretty often, we usually stay at the modest hotels, either with some promotion, non-peak rate, or free (gambling has to have some perks, right?). When my wife decided to splurge on Palazzo to celebrate our anniversary and my b-day, I did a little happy dance.
Thumbs up for the valet experience. They were always very fast and friendly. Check-in was a bit slow, but we asked for any comp upgrades (without the $20 sandwich trick) and they gave us a higher floor with a nice view of the Wynn, golf course, and mountains. You can even see their pool (but no super extra strength binoculars, lol). Sometimes, it's not always about the noisy strip view.
Regarding the room, it was spacious and luxurious. The remote to open the curtains automatically never gets old for me. It wasn't the largest room we had stayed at, but I loved the quality of the furniture. I wanted to take home that sectional in the living room. The bed was comfy, and I'm always happy when there's a flat screen in the bathroom.
We just about took advantage of every promotion they offered -- free room service breakfast, free slot play by signing up with their Grazie rewards card, and free credit to grab some beverages from their mini bar, just to name a few. I was a little giddy getting to actually drink something from a mini bar in Vegas. Nothing like drinking a mini-bottle of soda that normally costs $5 to boost your ego.
Gambling-wise, I did really well on the first night on the blackjack tables. I could've called it quits on gambling and left on top... deposit the money in my online savings account or Roth IRA. Who am I kidding... there were 2 more nights to go, and you can guess what happened after that. But we had a great time, met some good people, and that's all that matters. Grazie, Palazzo.
