  • i previously gave china city a 5 star review. we went here for years, and the food was absolutely delicious. on 9.10.14 we went here excited for the food as usual, but i should have known something was different when my husband had to wait 20 minutes in the restaurant for our food after already calling in the order and waiting. i bit into the veggie eggroll and said, "oh...i think they changed this recipe. it's not as good", but shrugged and continued on. my husband tried the wonton soup which he is normally a FANATIC for, but could immediately tell it was different too, and not in a good way. such a disappointment. i then opened up my fried rice, and just by looking at it, i could tell it was not going to be the fried rice i know and love. tried it, and nope. different. i called them to ask if they changed some recipes, and they said it's a completely new restaurant, but they still have the same name. such a shame. wanted to warn others that the past good reviews will no longer be for this new management! such a let down, and we will not be going back :(
