Honestly, this place is such a rip off for what you're paying. The $1/piece "sushi" (if you can even call it that) is intended for snobby people who want to say they're eating sushi but just can't stand the thought of anything fresh or served raw. Kofusion is considered a counter-serve fast-casual place like Chipotle or Panera, so I can't seem to understand how it takes them so long to serve customers especially since customers can clearly see all the "sushi" sitting in little bins right on the counter and they just need to be put onto plates.
Side note: two friends and I came in at 8:30pm and Ko closes at 9pm. Even though there was still half an hour until closing, we did apologize for coming in so close to the time all employees want to start leaving. We just ordered two orders of veggie dumplings (10 dumplings total) and in a matter of 5 minutes were served, but this is only because our dumplings were cold and floppy and still raw! Even when we brought it to their attention, the employee said "that's how they're supposed to be." We've had Ko dumplings before and although they are a cheap, filling alternative for $3 not meant to be memorable, the employee clearly insulted our intelligence by saying that's how they always are. No, you were just too lazy to not give us food poisoning with raw food.
