  • What a view and exquisite meal with spot-on service! We had reservations on a Sunday evening for dinner. The host was friendly and made small talk as they opened. Our server, Luis, was excellent. He offered to take pictures of us outside while our food was being prepared. He had quite the sense of humor too! Luis knew every aspect of the menu and was helpful when one of us was stuck between choosing certain entrees or drinks. I started off with the Winter Sunset for a beverage. I can't specifically recall its contents, but grenadine, fennel syrup, and I believe tequila were in it. It was fruity and left a nice taste different than the upcoming savory entree. The bread service had three different types of bread including olive bread, served with lemon butter, a gorgonzola cream-like spread, and a tomato based spread as well. The bread is not warm though. They could improve in this area. An olive oil with Mediterranean herbs would have been a nice option in the trio. Luis also brought out a small shot glass like container for each of us to sample their lobster bisque. WOW! It is heavier and very creamy. I kind of wished I had ordered it as an appetizer. In my past DPOV visits, there is always something to sample which is a nice touch. I had the Tomato Grilled Bistro Steak for my entree. The beef was cooked to my liking (medium rare). In my opinion, the charred rainbow cauliflower made the dish! Everything on the plate came together when combined in one bite...just wonderful! For dessert, I had the Chocolate and Citrus Espresso: "Caramel Chocolate Mousse, Cinnamon Orange Espresso Cream, Sherry Sabayon." It was AMAZING! One of the best desserts I've had in a long time. The mousse was velvety and had a rich flavor. The espresso cream complimented the dish well too. It was absolutely exquisite. In my opinion, DPOV is not too expensive for what you get too. I have spent far more money at a sub-par steakhouse. My entree was $32 and dessert was $9.25. On top of the fair prices, just look outside; there are not too many places in which you take in these kinds of views!
