| - A group of us went here last night and had a pretty good time. I've been here once before and thought that it was your typical bar on 17th ave, too crowded, which is was but it wasn't so bad. However I will DEFINITELY be going back here again. My bf got too drunk and when he went to lean on the 'wall' he landed dead on his butt in the washroom. In his defence the door to the washroom was the same as the wall so it blended in and I had no clue there was a washroom there. So when he landed on his butt, without spilling his drink, the bouncer came up behind me and actually HELPED me pick him up. Now, I've lived in Calgary my whole life and have seen many bouncers in this city and in my opinion, they're all ********. I understand that they deal with drunks all night but let's be honest, we've all seen them abusing they're jobs and bullying people around. THIS bouncer however, is one of the few exceptions to that. When he went to pick my bf up (who weighs 150lbs soaking wet) I blurted out 'He's just drunk, please don't be mean to him' and he actually smiled. He gave a lil laugh and said 'Don't worry, I won't' In 2 seconds he had my bf up off the floor, asked him if he was alright, and said that we would have to go. Then he turned to me and handed me a plastic cup WITH A LID and said, 'Here's a cup, just don't let the guys outside see.' I had just gotten a beer and since we had to go he actually gave me a to go cup. I was floored. I've not gone back to bars before because of bad bouncers and I will definitely be going back here again because of the great bouncer!! So impressed
