It had been a while since I've been there, last time my husband and I where there I was served what was essentially stale corn chips with tomato sauce and cheese for the bargain price of $12.
I've never really enjoyed their food (menu), it comes off as pretentious rather than truly good or refined.
Their baked goods on the other hand are very tasty - although I would recommend due to how crunchy the chocolate in my croissant was would be to slightly warm them. But the croissant itself was the best I've had in Madison.
So, I would recommend the bakery but not the restaurant. Be aware that the place is packed on nice days and plan accordingly, parking can be a huge pain and wait times definitely vary.
Also, be aware they have a no screens policy, so be aware. I'm not sure if it's to avoid being a coffee house and encourage folks to move on in the guise of being slow eating friendly or what but it is not appropriate for any meeting or work requiring a screen (another reason why I am not often there).
