Huge shout-out to Audi Northlake's service dept for taking care of my family! The climate control went dead on a summertime road trip. One day my wife and I will laugh about the drive in 90 degree weather on I-77 with no A/C in a thunderstorm (windows mostly rolled up). Our 3 year old and 6 year old mostly tolerated the humidity and heat; our baby was not a fan and showed it by getting car sick all over the place.
The next day, I called our longstanding dealer (the other Audi dealer in the area). The service team there could have cared less. No appointments for the rest of the week. No loaners. The message was Audi of Charlotte only wants scheduled oil changes. They aren't in it the game to help with real problems; Audi of Charlotte wants the easy money and skips the hard problems.
I had received a couple of mailings from Audi Northlake, so I decided to see if they could help. The team at Audi Northlake was outrageously good. Told me that no A/C in the summer was not OK, and to drive right over. (Couldn't have asked for more - we're a one car family, and I had international travel the next day.) They fit me into the schedule, and had me out the door in less than 4 hours. They had both parts in stock. The waiting room was fantastic, with a dedicated area for kids and a quiet area for telecommuters trying to work.
This was by far the best service experience I've ever seen with an Audi dealer. No doubt Audi Northlake won a new customer, and Audi Charlotte lost a customer.
