I had almost forgotten about how awful my experience with Oasis was--that is, until they sent me a customer service survey a year later. Then I remembered.
A cheap estimate by a young guy who guaranteed me both verbally and via email that I would not pay anymore than his quote, was followed by a huge mark-up on the day of the sale. I fought it and got it down to something "cheaper," but still this was the old bait and switch that my Brooklyn grandfather told me about (the one who used to sell aluminum siding to unsuspecting suburbanites)--apparently some things never changed.
Then I had trouble figuring out when my stuff was arriving, and had to make tons of phone calls to arrange stuff. This included calling the local dispatcher myself--making a bunch of phone calls and wasting lots of my time.
When my stuff arrived, some of it had been damaged and other stuff was completely destroyed. I was so fed up I didn't bother filing an insurance claim--I was told by the movers not to bother.
Obviously this place has had shady dealings since 2008. Nothing's changed. Look elsewhere.
