| - I took my five year old Yorkie to Lucky's for the first and last time last week. The first red flag was that they did not ask for proof of vaccinations, which means that I am sure there are sick dogs that spend time at this salon. Even with up to date vaccinations, your dog can still get sick, similarly to how people can get the flu even if they have gotten a flu shot. When I picked my dog up, she was very excited and eager to leave the salon, so it was hard to get a close look at her until we got home. Upon further inspection, I noticed a half inch abrasion on the bridge of her nose, next to her right eye. As soon as we got home, she began sneezing and hacking/coughing profusely. I became concerned that she had contracted kennel cough. She seemed to be getting better about two days after her trip to Lucky's, which has now led me to believe that she isn't sick; rather, I have a feeling that they were rough and careless with her and likely dunked her whole head in the bathtub, causing her to aspirate soap and water. She was also very shaken up in the days following her visit. Do not take your baby to this salon; they are clearly rough and careless with the dogs. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau as well, as they have no business operating this salon.
