  • This place has not received a review on their website since June 2014 and July 2014 on Yelp. I just wrote a review on their website and it looks like it will NOT get posted since only positive reviews are posted. I have been a long term, loyal customer of Baan Thai since 2012. I remember googling online looking for a good deep massage location since my back and shoulders were really stiff and sore from sitting in front of the computer all day. I came across Baan Thai and read the reviews and everyone said it was a must try so I decided to give it try. I was definitely not disappointed. I felt my back and shoulders thoroughly worked on and I have been a loyal customer ever since. When Baan Thai increased their price to $80/hr for massage, I thought it was reasonable since the massage quality was unmatchable. All masseuses are from Thailand; therefore, the massages are authentic Thai massages. However, since mid-last year there has been a lot of turnovers in the masseuses since their working visa has expired. The new masseuses are not of the same caliber as the old ones. After my regular masseuse returned back to Thailand, I decided to stay with Baan Thai. Over the span of 4 months, I have returned to Baan Thai three times and had a different masseuse each time. Today was my third and LAST visit. Each massage experience, became more disappointing and frustrating then the previous one. My experience today was both painful and confusing. Painful because my masseuse used her ELBOW to massage me - bone against bone is not the most comfortable experience. Confused because before the massage began, the masseuse asked me how much pressure do I like? I told her a lot of pressure because my back and shoulders are stiff. Not once throughout my 1 hour of Thai oil massage did I feel like she used any strength or pressure to work out the knots in my back and shoulders. Besides running her elbow down my spine there was no wrist and/or hand muscle used on any of my sore spots. The masseuse covered me in more oil then required. Both the bedsheets and myself were covered in oil. When the masseuse asked me what I would like to drink at the end of the massage session, I wanted to just leave since I felt like I got nothing out of the session. There was a time when it would take a while before you can get in to see a masseuse. You literally had to book 2-3 weeks in advance. Now a day you can get in the next or same day. I will not be returning to Baan Thai anymore.
