  • Shakers is cheap and I am sure it is great for a kids birthday party it isn't quite worth the drive to the outskirts of Calgary. On the plus side they sell alcohol and it is only $25 for unlimited mini golf, laser tag and go karts. But the only one worth doing is the go karts which you have to wait a half hour in line for! While I did have fun there with my family the only fun part of go karting is crashing and bumping people which you aren't supposed to do but everyone does. The downsides are the laser tag vests don't all work properly and by the looks of it a few others stopped working half way through the game, the mini golf is sooooo boring and all the holes are pretty much the same, and the staff are incredibly immature and under supervised. The staff used the speakers on the go kart course to send personal messages to each other, spent most of the time sitting in their control booth texting, and were too busy shotgunning red bulls to realize one of the go kart runs ran about 5 minutes longer then usual. Management should really be keeping a better eye on their staff when they are supposed to be monitoring the go kart course and ensuring people's safety.
