The first time I donated I was surprised at how quickly it went. I've donated at two other centers and usually the first visit takes a really long time, like four hours. I was only at Interstate for 2 hours and ten minutes- not bad. I just wish they would squeeze my finger when they do the finger prick- it hurts a lot less that way and only some of them do that. Some staff are friendly, some are fake-friendly. You get $50 for your first 5 donations. I'm surprised that the payout rate hasn't risen since I first started donating plasma back in 2001.
Edit: Its now 3/21/17 and the wifi has not worked in almost a month. The distraction of YouTube videos while I'm donating really calmed my nerves about the whole process (a fat needle in my arm for an hour), so I won't be going back until they fix the problem. I was told by an employee that their service provider told them that everything is working on their end and that there'd be a fee for a tech to come out and that the management declined because they don't want to pay the fee.
