This is a very unique store that sells hobby supplies, including model plane kits and raw materials like metals, paints and hardware used in model planes, boats, trains and cars.
I have the sense that it must be the biggest distributor of such things in Canada, as they always have an enormous, gigantic stock. It has an amazing back stairs leading to a secret warehouse of model train supplies, and a working scale model train set-up,
I'm really a fan of this store; it is a Montreal institution in the hobby area... it's the kind of store that will close eventually, and everyone will say "... remember UDisco?". It even has a weird name.
NOTE: yes, the front staff -were- a bit cranky in the past. However I was there a month ago and they explained that the front staff are gone (the owner died...) and the business has now passed to the sons who are changing things to make it a bit more "modern" in terms of service. I will sort of miss the guy who always had to tell me three jokes before he answered my question.
