  • I recently visited Siroccos to get highlights done with Sam. This was my 3rd time & twice to see Sam. I have fine blonde hair & my head is sensitive to rough treatment. When I called to make an appointment, I asked what it would cost to have a few highlights done as I didn't want too many & explained to the receptionist that I have fine hair & that I don't want the foils ripped out of my hair like I have experienced in the past at this salon. The receptionist asked Sam & she told me it would be $147 - $165 with a cut. I explained I had already had a cut & didn't require one & that this price was too much so she asked Sam again & told me he would do it for $100. During my appointment, I explained to Sam I only wanted highlights in the front & sides. He said he needed to do a "few" highlights in the back otherwise my hair would look "patchy". I said that would be fine as long as it's only a few. Things started to go down hill when he took me to the sink to rinse after I had been under the dryer for maybe 10-12 minutes. He didn't use water to take the foils out this time, but pulled them out dry instead which made me grimace. He proceeded to put in a toner & explained this would make my highlights last way longer since I don't come in very often. I thought, "what does this mean exactly?" He proceeded to rinse the toner, then put in a conditioner & rinsed that. Each time he rinsed, he would roughly manhandle my hair making me grimace each time. He put a towel on my head & said go to my chair. When I sat down again, he very roughly towel dried my hair which made me grimace again. He asked how I wanted it styled & before I could decide, he said, "I'll dry & would you like curls?" I said "Sure a few is fine." He turned the chair away from the mirror & when he was styling in front of me, I could see he was using a round styling brush that was very full of hair & looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in months!! I almost threw up!! As he was styling, he kept roughly pulling my hair with the dirty brush. When he was done, he turned the chair toward the mirror & I honestly couldn't tell that I just had highlights put in. All Sam said was, "l'll see you in a couple months & walked away." I went to pay & was told it would be $147!! I almost flipped when I heard the price!! I asked "what happened to the $100 I was quoted on the phone?". The receptionist told me , "He had to do more highlights that's why it's more." I was so angry because I don't think I had more than 15-20 foils in total in my hair!! I will never go back to this salon. If you want rough treatment, dirty brushes used on your hair & to not see your highlights for a ridiculous price, then go here.
