Checked into a casita with the family for a staycation. Upon entering the smell of mustiness and dust hit me in the face. :( Not a great way to arrive. Bed was comfortable and clean. Bathtub had a bit of mold growing in the caulk near the floor. The place itself just needed a good scrub down in my opinion. The air vent filters were so dirty they were making a weird hum. The walls and vent covers were also covered in dust near the ac vents. However the place did get cold, a must while in Phoenix during the summer. I had an issue with the master bedroom bath/shower. It would not drain fast enough. By the time I showered each day the tub was 1/3 full of water. Slow drains make for a gross start to a morning. Second morning we found a very large bug crawling around the downstairs bathroom. This was not a roach.... it was black with yellow stripes around the body. The kids enjoyed the water park immensely. The slide was the highlight.. ages 10 and 11. Large sprawled out area with a miniature golf section. Drinks on the property are way overpriced. An iced tea was $3.50 with no refills. Cocktails overpriced as well and watered down. I enjoyed the large trees in this resort. The landscaping was manicured and well taken care of. The wifi was horrible. The breaker flipped off one morning when I turned on the coffee maker. The breaker box was hidden behind a picture frame downstairs. An easy fix. All in all.... the place is on a great section of land. The casitas are just old... they need to be updated badly.
