TLDR; flexible scheduling, great service, amazing quality service, outstanding personality! ALSO 15% off for being referred (feel free to say some Jacqueline girl from yelp sent you ) It was one of those Sunday's where I felt super down in life and just needed a pick me up. I turned to google to find the first place open (which isn't a lot considering its Sunday) with decent reviews. I am beyond thankful that I did. I've had a variation of bleached hair for the past 5 years and coloured hair for the past 10. I am also a student living in the city trying to make ends meet in a creative career. So anytime my picky taste I spend a dollar on her hair, I make sure it's spent on high quality service. I went in to the first available, a junior stylist named Jenna. Nothing was junior about her besides her price point which I am AOK with! I got a balayage and she discussed with me concerns of bringing my hair too light/ ruining its structural integrity by rushing the bleaching process. I appreciated this because I've seen far too many girls go blonde to have it break off! She also advised me how high up my ombré should go as I was also on the fence and an ombré noob. She offered me a beverage (assortment of teas, espresso based drinks and even wine!) and went to mix my formula. Her application technique was fantastic. She was also quite speedy which is a tricky combination with my fragile hair. Lucky for me, beyond her skill was her great personality! Everyone in the salon was sweet and warm as can be. Jenna made me feel at home from the second I looked at her chair. The adorable atmosphere of the salon matches their hospitable employees. Their gracious offerings of treats and expertise settles my anxious heart. Oh and the location at queen and Bathurst (beside Tim Horton's) is so conviennent, especially with Sunday appointments available. I've been back for haircuts, smartbond/ olaplex treatments and balayages multiple times and I will definitely come back again! They also have a referral program so you should go visit Jenna and get 15% off your first service because she rocks and you want good hair.
