What an awful experience! Went to this store before and met friendly staff during the day even signed up for the Albertsons App because of them but not tonight! I don't know if it's because of the Holidays and ppl are just miserable because they had to work but it was 9pm and the store was not busy yet only one cashier at the register and all other lanes closed with a long line down the aisle of 10 customers. I only had 3 items and saw a guy at a closed register and asked him if he could please call a manager to the front. His name was Jared and he said that he was a manager so I asked him if he could get someone else to open another register because the line is getting too long and self check is closed. He grumpily told me that's not his problem and he can't help me. I said are you sure you're a manager that's not the right thing to say to a customer. And he said well I will just ring you up but it's not my problem that there's not enough people to work the registers. I said well excuse me but who's problem is it if you're a manager I would think that would be your problem. He said that "they" don't give them enough ppl to work the scheduled shifts so I said that sounds like something you need to take up with your corporate office but being rude to your customers is bad customer service and you should be apologizing instead of being rude to me. He cut me off mid sentence and said what is there to apologize for this is not my problem! I told him that I guess as a customer it's my problem then for choosing the wrong store? Jared was very rude continued trying to be argumentative and told me that I was getting irate about something that he has nothing to do with. I told him I was not irate until he began to get rude with me for asking for another cashier to get 3 items!
Jared rang up my items without even allowing me to enter my card info to get the sale price and interrupted my every sentence!
This was beyond inappropriate and disrespectful and I told him he needs to learn manners because the first rule of customer service is not to argue with the customers instead of tellling me that's not his problem and that there is nothing to apologize for! He should not even be at a register much less a manager at this store! He belongs in the back taking out the garbage! Never have I ever at a grocery store at that! Smh
