  • I bought a brand new MacBook Air six weeks ago at another location (in Ohio) and tried to exchange/return it at this location last night. I started having problems two weeks ago with it. I was getting blue screen when I turned it on. Which is a huge concern considering I just paid around $1300 for it along with Best Buys protection plan. The first time I called Apple Support she said it wasn't a common issue and we reset a bunch of things. She assured me it wouldn't happen again. Well it happened again last night! So, I thought it was time to take action against this blue screen. When I first arrived the two very nice girls at customer service said yes I can return it and they understood you shouldn't be having problems with something that new. I was thinking to myself this is too good to be true that they were going to exchange it just like that. Well it was too good to be true! Their computer prompted it to send it out to be serviced and that it would take two weeks! I explained I am moving in two weeks and I need it for work. They asked their manager and he was busy and said the same thing to send it off. Then they called another young lady manager, Caitlin, up. She looked at me and said, I've had it for almost two months, like I've had it for five years and said the only thing we can do is ship it out. I explained I am moving to North Carolina and I need it for work. She had no empathy or concern about making it better. Their only solution was to send it out for two weeks. Needless to say I walked out with my brand new $1300 blue screen MacBook in anger because of my moving situation and work situation. From my understanding, the girls made it sound like if I didn't buy that useless protection plan from Best Buy I could've returned it. I could be wrong though. I think I blacked out I was so angry. We recently purchased a 55' Samsung TV and a MacBook along with iPads and other gadgets throughout the years. We spend thousands of dollars a year with Best Buy. I feel robbed. We are in the market for a washer and dryer set and a DSLR. I believe we will be taking our business elsewhere after last night.
