| - A day at the Toronto Zoo is the perfect summer time activity - everyone gets to be outside, be active, and see some fascinating animals.
PARKING: We got there just after opening and managed to find parking near the entrance (parking is $10 - paid with admission). This is awesome at the end of the day, and after having walked over 10,000 steps!
TIP: You can rent strollers, including double strollers, for under $10.
PANDAS: The Toronto Zoo is home to baby Panda till March 2018. The Pandas were the highlight of the day - Totally recommend the zoo for this alone. The staff mentioned that wait times can be a couple of hours long. We get there just before 10am and had to wait no more than 10 minutes to see the panda.
We enjoyed each of the pavilions and saw a lot of different animals. There is great info posted about each animal and is simple enough for the kids to appreciate. I would recommend catching some of the animal feedings, or zoo keeper talks.
We found the staff friendly and helpful. I would recommend catching some of the animal feedings, or zoo keeper talks. We found the facilities clean and well maintained.
PACK A PICNIC: When it comes to food, try to pack a lunch. There weren't many good options, things were overpriced, and the lines were long. There are many picnic benches so you can find a nice spot.
EXTRAS: The zoo also has some great rides (Merry go around, zip line, etc) and a kids play area and water play area!
