I was stranded in Charlotte due to weather delays for my flight home. Someone at the airport referred me to this hotel since US Airways was sending other "distressed" passengers there. I went online and was able to book a non smoking King size room for $89 ($108 after taxes). I was a little apprehensive about the quality of the room since it was so cheap but I saw decent reviews so I went for it. The airport shuttle for this hotel runs once an hour so youre SOL if you miss it. Also the shuttle is a van and can only hold 10 people comfortably. I waited nearly 30 minutes for the shuttle at the airport and finally gave up and took a cab. The cab came to $23 and its about a 15 min drive (at 1145PM with no traffic). The staff was friendly and checked me in quickly. The hotel is a little older in the hallway area but the room itself was very nice. Refrigerator, microwave, spacious bathroom, comfortable bed, flat screen TV, and SILENCE! Upon check out I learned that you must request a seat on the airport shuttle and it leaves at the top of the hour. Thankfully the shuttle wasn't full and I got on with no issues. Oh and they have a continental breakfast. I left too early to partake in it so I can't really comment on it. Overall, it was a good stay.
