  • BUYER BEWARE : I recently moved to Arizona, bought a house and did a total renovation. The project was challenging but I worked with an excellent contractor, Birk Development. Unfortunately he does not do shower doors and I hired Frameless Glass to put custom shower doors in two bathrooms. They are the absolute worse people I have ever dealt with. Every step of the way was painful. Lying and substandard work is their way of doing business. As you can see from previous yelp reviews I am not the only one who thinks this. It started with their installers drilling holes in my tile in the wrong place. I understand that mistakes happen and they should have come to me and explained the situation. I am a reasonable person and we could have discussed a solution to the problem. Instead they said nothing and tried to hide the holes by filling them will acrylic chaulk. Needless to say it looked horrible. They also installed the wrong lower track. To make matters worse the rollers were defective and the doors did not roll smoothly or close properly. I didn't notice these problems for 48 hours because the deceitful installer told me not to move the doors for that period of time. I called and spoke to the receptionist and was told that Charlie, the salesman/supervisor would come out and take a look. When he did come out he was speechless. He said that it was a horrible installation. It was all done wrong and had the wrong parts also. He said it had to be taken down and totally re-installed. I requested that the original installer not be sent back to correct the problems because he was not honest with me the first time. I was told by Zee that he would not be sent. Low and behold who shows up at my door several weeks later? The same lying installer. When he comes in he is immediately confrontational stating that there was nothing wrong with his installation. It just needed an adjustment. I asked him what about the four wrong holes he drilled in my tile. He looked me right in the eye and said he told the guy who was at house the day of installation about his mistake. He didn't even realize that I WAS THAT GUY. What an idiot and a pathological lier. At that point I told him to leave. Several weeks later ( I kept getting delay tactics from this company, pushing my appointments out further and further with excuses....I know these were all lies because employees were throwing each other under the bus in an attempt to absolve themselves of any responsibility) the supervisor came out to try and fix the problems. He also was unsuccessful. The story goes on and on. While this was all taking place Ron, the owner at the time, agreed to pay for the repair of the four holes. The best solution was to redo some of the tile work, which was only placed one month earlier by a master technician. The cost of that would have run into several hundred dollars. Instead I suggested to Ron that I could get my countertop installer to patch the holes with epoxy and save him a lot of money, if he would get the installation corrected. It would not be perfect but would be a whole lot better then their chalking patch job. He agreed to pay $100 to do the repair. My counter top fabricator was doing me a favor, doing it for that price, because of all the other work I gave him in my whole house renovation. By the way the granite fabricator was also excellent. When Zee sent back the installers for the 4th or 5th time ( I lost track with all the delaying, cancelling and lying they did) she promised they would bring me a check for the $100 I already paid my guy. That's right, you already figured it out. They arrived with no check. I was promised it would be mailed to me. That also never happened. Finally after many phone calls Zee said she spoke to both Ron and the new owners and I could come by and pick up my check this past Tuesday. I live about 30 minutes away from their place of business. She assured me it would be waiting for me. Do you see a pattern here? Yes you would be correct if you guessed I drove down there and no check was waiting for me. Zee said Ron wasn't in and only one of the new owners was there. I requested to speak with him. After he made me wait a half hour he came out to speak to me. He said this whole thing had nothing to do with him. I asked him as the new owner would he stand by the previous owners agreement. He told me he only bought the name not any liability. That did not make me happy. I figured to avoid all this bad publicity he would just cut me a check. He obviously doesn't see things the same way that i do. By the way I had called my credit card company to complain during this fiasco. They even got Zee on the phone and we had a 3 way conversation. Again promises were made and promises were not kept. Now besides this yelp review I am going to report them to the BBB, the ROC people and my credit card company. I SUGGEST STAYING AS FAR AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE!
