  • Not sure if it's new management or the team has just gotten too relaxed but the last two times I've visited have been disappointing. I have been working from Chestnut 2-3 times a month for at least a year. It's a beautiful build out and on nice days the windows are open to their patio making this a great spot to catch up on work. Last week when I worked there, I sat down at a table and there were papers crumpled up from straws and napkins. It'd be fine if it was post lunch or had been busy but it was only 7:30am and they had only been open for thirty minutes. That made me think they had not washed down the tables the night before. Then, to top it off, there was a hair in my granola bowl. Mistakes happen but to have two questionable cleanliness items happen in one visit, was gross and unfortunate. This morning I ate breakfast before going to avoid another hairy incident but was excited for a good hot cup of coffee and a productive morning. When I got to the counter, they told me they were out of regular coffee. I could only have decaf or an Americano. It was again 7am, so it wasn't like they had a mad rush and ran out of coffee. I opted for a cold brew and sat down. I spent 5 minutes trying to connect to their internet and finally asked if they were having issues. The employee said yes, they've had issues for a few days. All a girl needs is a clean place, with a hot cup of coffee and internet to work. Sad to see such a great spot become blah.
