This is one of those rare gems in Phoenix where you actually get to see a nice cross-section of our community. Stopped here for drinks with some friends last Saturday night. Though there aren't many places in town that charge a cover, $3pp is totally worth it for some great live music. The band was great, playing songs that had people (including me!) on the dance floor. Even the music piped over the speakers between sets was fun.
We lucked out grabbing seats on the patio for our group of 6. The sidecar caught my attention, but ended up being a bit on the sweet side for my tastes- not like the ones my grandmother used to make. I switched to the old fashioned ($10) which hit the spot.
I was totally impressed by the roasted seasonal veg. A board with roasted mini carrots, cauliflower, broccolini, and parsnips. You don't often see those last two being served. The garlicy dip on the side was good, too.
Definitely would recommend this place for a light bite, decent drink, and fantastic music.
