I'm not going to lie, The Village at LLV is pretty dismal. Despite a recent (remarkable) comeback at Lake Las Vegas--the golf courses are no longer dead, foreclosures are no longer dominating the real estate market, there are a large number of new homes under construction--The Village seems to have had a hard time keeping up.
Many of the retail outlets remain empty or have closed, and the selection of restaurants is mediocre at best. Seasons Market opened roughly 6 months ago which is a huge bonus, and Proof (tavern and gaming) is also a welcome addition. In terms of shopping and or coffee shops, The Village fails to deliver.
During the warmer months, there is free live jazz by the lake on Saturday evenings, which is nice if that is your sort of scene. The setting is beautiful and patio restaurants a great choice to enjoy the entertainment.
Overall, The Village itself is not much of a destination, but there are some nice quiet bars and restaurants that are great for a romantic date night out.
