  • This was our first stop for a bachelorette weekend in Vegas. Be careful with the bottomless breakfast mimosas! They are $30 and the price per drink lowers more quickly than you'd expect...Tip: if you go, request Elton as your server! He's fantastic. (Elton even gave us to-go cups for our mimosas as we were leaving!) Food prices are reasonable for Vegas. I had the spinach, tomato and goat cheese omelet. It was excellent! We arrived mid-morning but were told party brunch didn't start until 2 p.m. Despite being misled on the phone while making the reservation, we went ahead and ate. At first, we were seated outside to enjoy the sunshine. The balcony was just a little too windy so we came back inside. This is when we had to switch from Elton to Matt as our server. Elton was a great and friendly server. Matt, not so much. The restaurant was almost completely empty when we ate (around 11 a.m., which is very early by Vegas standards). So empty half of it was curtained off. My friend sat her purse down on an empty chair next to our table. When she got up to use the restroom, Matt came over and switched the chairs. He told us it was rude to put her purse on a chair and "against policy." What first seemed like he was joking ended up coming across as very rude, especially when she returned and Matt decided it would be appropriate for him to lecture her about "common courtesy." We immediately requested Elton as our server again! Fortunately for us, the balcony was still empty (because it was so early), so we were able to switch servers. After the encounter with Matt, the manager Alissa began checking on us periodically. We told her what happened with Matt. While I do want to speak very highly of her, she did come across as refusing to pick sides. She was very defensive of Matt, claiming he was joking and it's because we just don't know him, but also acknowledged that this is the hospitality industry and his attitude was unacceptable. Alissa is a peacemaker, and we appreciated her concern though wish she would have held a firmer ground against rude service. As we left, we did get stamps so that we could come back later for party brunch if we wanted. Since the pools had just opened the weekend before, Alissa told us we would also have access to Tao Beach at the Venetian. We mentioned Alissa's name to the bouncer and that got us in. Overall, it was a good spot for brunch and a great start to the weekend--dampened just a little by Matt's rude service.
